PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a map by a simple operation, and also to simultaneously transmits explanation information about a specified part on the map when map information is transmitted. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 100 includes: a storing means 22 for storing prepared map generation parts; a map generating means 23 for generating the map by using the map generation parts; an information adding means 24 for adding text information to the prescribed map generation parts of the generated map; and a transmitting means 25 for transmitting the map with text information added thereto. In the portable telephone 100, the map generating means 23 generates the simple map by using the map generation parts, adds text information to the prescribed map generation parts on the generated map by the information adding means 24, and transmits map information with text information added thereto to another portable telephone via a radio communication base station. Thus, map data are generated by the simple operation, and explanation information concerning the specified part on the map is simultaneously transmitted when map information is transmitted.
