PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial multilayer fabric free from occurrence of partial recesses on the surface thereof and having high freeness, stability and surface smoothness. SOLUTION: The industrial multilayer fabric comprises an upper surface side layer and a travel surface side layer. Part or the whole of upper surface side warps serve as warp ground yarn joining yarns, the warp ground yarn joining yarns are disposed in a single set of two yarns, the two yarns are so designed that either one of them appears on the upper surface with sandwiching one travel surface side warp and is woven with upper surface side wefts so as to form a texture equivalent to substantially one upper surface side warp on the upper surface, and on the travel surface side layer, two warp ground yarn joining yarns forming a set are adjoiningly disposed on both sides of one travel surface side warp sandwiched therebetween, and on the upper surface, two warp ground yarn joining yarns forming a set come close to each other and form a texture equivalent to substantially one upper surface side warp nearly right above the travel surface side warp.
