The invention relates to a device for regulation of the working point of at least one power amplifier (104), working in linear mode, for high frequency useful signals (HFNS). The above is achieved, whereby the degree of compression (c(t)) of said high frequency power amplifier (104) is controlled by means of a first control circuit (102), using a control signal (SS1), obtained as the output signal of a second control circuit (103) contained within the feedback branch of the first control circuit (102). Said control signal (SS1) can be, for example, a voltage (uPA,control(t)), varying with time and/or a current (iPA,control(t)), varying with time. As a result of the low current consumption of said device, the average achievable efficiency (hPA,m) for the high frequency power amplifier (104), obtained by means of the compression, can be significantly increased. |
