The plastic tube for producing a gas-filled packing material consists of two sheets which are sealed together along their edges (4, 6) and have transverse spot-welds (5a, 5b) forming inflatable pockets (7) with a gas inlet (8) in one end. A line of perforations (9) is positioned between each pair of spot-welded lines (5a, 5b). Independent claims are included for: (a) a process for producing a gas-filled packing material; and (b) a device for carrying out the process. |
