A short mark is recorded on a write-once read-many optical disk according to a modulation code using on pulse, and a long mark is recorded using at least two pulses or a pulse with at least two levels. Especially, when a mark having a length of or 5 Ts or less (T is a channel clock) is recorded by an EFM plus modulation method using one pulse, and a mark having a length of 6 Ts or more is recorded using two or more pulses. Even in high linear velocity recording, a favorable recorded mark is made, and degradation of disk information buried in the substrate can be prevented.
|
