<p>The strip feeding unit comprises an axial conveyer(30) which supplies strips to the feed zone(28) of an extruder drive shaft(18). Rotation of the shaft conveys the material parallel to the shaft until it enters the extruder screw(20). An Independent claim is made for a process for feeding an extruder in which strip material runs parallel to and is conveyed along the extruder screw drive shaft(18).</p> |
