<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically judge the operating voltage value of an inserted card 4 with a simple configuration to permit to supply a power source. <P>SOLUTION: A card power source 2 is formed of a 5-volt fixed power source 11 for a 5-volt card, a 5-volt side output switch 14 that controls whether or not the card 4 is to be supplied with the voltage from the 5-volt fixed power source 11, a 3-volt fixed power source 12 for a 3-volt card that operates on 3.3 volts, a 3-volt side output switch 15 that controls whether or not the card is to be supplied with the voltage from the 3-volt fixed power source 12 and the like, and the operation of an output switch 16 is controlled with an output control signal from a CPU 1. Furthermore, for supplying the card 4 with the power source, the power source is supplied from the 3-volt fixed power source 12 first, and the signal outputted from the card 4 is analyzed with the CPU 1 so as to judge whether or not the supplied voltage value is appropriate.
