PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycle prevention processing apparatus and a recycle prevention processing method that applies a processing of physically destroying part of photographing electronic equipment to the photographing electronic device configured to be recycled and returned from a user so as to prevent the photographing electronic equipment from being illegitimately recycled and reused by a malicious user or the like. SOLUTION: An image data transmission means (controller 4) for calling image data recorded on a recording medium of the photographing electronic equipment (digital camera 10) returned from the user and transmitting the data to an external equipment (personal computer 20 and printer 30) is provided further with a destruction means (a projection mold 5 and a drive section 6) for automatically and physically destroying part (LCD monitor 10b) of the photographing electronic equipment after the end of transmission of the image data to the external equipment so as to simply and surely prevent the photographing electronic equipment from being illegitimately recycled and reused by a malicious user.
