PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set various functions of a multifunction machine from a network- connected terminal and to automate the function setting operation. SOLUTION: Software creating control panel display environment the multifunction machine is downloaded to a terminal on the network to generate display environment similar to that of the control panel of the multifunction machine on the display of the terminal. The procedure of the various function setting operation is previously programmed and stored in a memory while specified headers are given to respective programs. When a specified access code is inputted, the program having the corresponding header is executed to automatically perform specified function setting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
