<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reverse deformation of the sub-seal, which is a lip of dog-legged shape, of a weather strip attached to the door frame of the rear door of a vehicle, particularly, of a weather strip attached to the door frame along the door opening edge extending from the roof side of the vehicle body to a quarter pillar, upon opening the vehicle door. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip 7A has the sub-seal 73. Part of the sub-seal 73 is arranged in such a way that the front end of it is in pressure contact with the door opening edge 3 along the quarter pillar 5 that forms a level difference S between the door frame 2A and the outer surface of the vehicle body when the door is closed. The front end of this part of the sub-seal 73 has a half part 731, and it is made longer than that of the part of the sub-seal 73 that is in pressure contact with the door opening ridge 3 along the roof side, and the length of the longer half part 731 is changed in response to the change of the width of the level difference S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
