PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holder which can elongate the life of a brush and also can raise the rigidity without increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: A connecting part 31e, which connects both sidewall parts 31c and 31c together, is made on the side of the commutator 16 of the topside 31a of the brush holder 30, and this connecting part 31e is positioned between both sidewalls 31c and 31c, and is made to avoid a groove 31b. A high-rigidity part 10 is made at this connecting part 31e. The high-rigidity part 10 is made as a bulge in the shape of bulging outward of the brush. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
