PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire the latest information by use of an on-vehicle terminal. SOLUTION: When the latest information is supplied from a contents provider 18 to a data center 12, the data center 12 lets a user's on-vehicle terminal 10 know it by e-mail using a portable infrastructure 14. The on-vehicle terminal 10 receives data from the data center and transmits request data to the data center via the Internet 16. The current position data of the on-vehicle terminal 10 is added to the request data. The data center 12, after user authentication, extracts only the piece of information matching the user's current position from pieces of the newest information and supplies it to the on-vehicle terminal 10.
