PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom of the positions of a lamp and a control circuit to be arranged in an image projector and to suppress the rise of production cost of the image projector. SOLUTION: A 1st control circuit outputs an initialization signal when a power supply for the image projector is turned on. A storage circuit stores state information indicating a power ON state in accordance with the initialization signal. A 2nd initializing circuit outputs an initialization signal to the control circuit when the power supply is turned on to initialize the control circuit. When the control circuit is in the power ON state after initialization, the control circuit requests the initialization signal to the 2nd initializing circuit. After the lapse of prescribed time from the request from the control circuit, the 2nd initializing circuit outputs the initialization signal. Further, the control circuit turns on a lamp after requesting the initialization signal. Although noise is generated immediately after turning on the lamp, the 2nd initializing circuit outputs the initialization signal to the control circuit after the disappearance of the noise.
