PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit photographing an object at a limited place. SOLUTION: This invention provides the recording system configured with a transmission apparatus placed within a prescribed range to control operations of an imaging apparatus and with the imaging apparatus provided with: an imaging means for photographing the object; a recording means for recording a video signal obtained by the imaging means on a recording medium; a reception means for receiving a control signal sent from the transmission apparatus; and a control means that limits functions of the imaging means and the recording means to prescribed functions on the basis of the control signal received by the reception means.
