<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a very compact image forming apparatus by using an organic EL writing head. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus provided with at least one or more image forming stations Y, M, C and K where an electrifying means 47, an exposure means 1, a developing means 48 and a transfer means 45 are arranged around an image carrier 46, a toner image formed by the image forming station is transferred to a transfer medium.
