NUT AND METHOD FOR WELDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A nut and a method for welding the nut are provided to improve workability in relation to a nut welding work and a bolt coupling work by integrally coupling the nut with an auxiliary member, and then, welding the auxiliary member with parent material. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary member(20) made of material identical to base material used in a welding process is integrally coupled with a nut(10). Then, the auxiliary member(20) is bonded to parent material through an electric thermal-fusion welding, thereby welding the nut(10) with basic material. A protrusion(11) is formed at one side of the nut(10) and a hole(21) is formed at the center of the auxiliary member(20). The protrusion(11) is inserted into the hole(21) of the auxiliary member(20). Then, the protrusion(11) inserted into the hole(21) is pressed so that the protrusion(11) is bonded around the hole(21). The nut(10) and parent material are fixed by means of two pressing members. Then, high-voltage current is applied to the pressing members.
