PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a honing machine that can inexpensively manufacture a bore deformable in an operating state to an ideal shape. SOLUTION: The method detects deformation of a bore 1 to a target shape 3 in an operating state, determines an initial shape 2 from the target shape 3 and deformation, and machines the bore 1 to the initial shape 2.
