<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layered structure body having a clear guideline for designing a material of multiple-layered structure from carbon material and controlling occurrence of a physical phenomenon by design of the structure and a functional material using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the multi-layered structure body in which a larger hexagon is formed of hexagon-shaped elements, a physical phenomenon occurring in the structure is controlled by the number of hexagons in smaller structures required to form a larger structure from the smaller structures. Alternatively, in the multi-layered structure body in which a larger hexagon is formed of elements with sites added in the centers of hexagons, a physical phenomenon occurring in the structure is controlled by the number of hexagons in smaller structures required to form a larger structure from the smaller structures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
