摘要 PURPOSE: A large solvent ink-jet printer is provided to print in an exact position without being influenced by a speed of an X-axis motor and to have the excellent quality of a printing color by controlling an injecting position of ink apart from the speed of the X-axis motor. CONSTITUTION: An IEEE-1284 controller(102) receives print data of an HP-RTL(Hewlett-Packard's Raster Transfer Language) type of an 8 bit ASCII(American Standard Code for Information Interchange) to be processed by an RIP(Raster Image Processing) program. A microprocessor(104) decides an order of a data processing and a printing to inject ink in order of K, C, M and Y, outputs the print data through an McBSP(Multi-channel Buffered Serial Port) according to an external asynchronous frame signal and outputs motion commands through an EMIF(External Memory Interface) system bus by analyzing the print data of the HP-RTL type based on a user's selection about a printing through a first path, a second path and a fourth path and the nozzle arrangement and structure of a solvent ink head(140). An X-axis motion controller(108) and a Y-axis motion controller(110) generate a motion profile by receiving the motion commands and generates a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal according to the generated profile. Motors(112,114) offers driving current to an X-axis motor(116) and a Y-axis motor(118) for moving the motors according to the generated PWM signal. The X-axis motor and the Y-axis motor are rotated to be moved corresponding to each motion command by receiving the driving current. An X-axis linear encoder(120) and a Y-axis linear encoder(122) feed back A and B signals to the motion controllers by respectively accessing to the X-axis motor and the Y-axis motor for controlling the positions of a head and a device. A solvent ink head controller receives the print data through the McBSP port by synchronizing with the external asynchronous frame signal and transfers the print data through four serial channels to be divided to K, C, M and Y colors. A head interface circuit unit(130) transfers a signal from a main board containing the microprocessor to the solvent ink head and drives the solvent ink head of a piezo-type by the transferred signal. The solvent ink head injects the ink by a piezo element.
