PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent the electro-chemical corrosion of a black matrix even if moisture infiltrates an upper and a lower substrates by making the residual electric charges of the lower substrate flow into the upper substrate. CONSTITUTION: A compensation pattern(122) made of indium tin oxide is formed between a sealant(114) and a lower metal layer. Herein, the lower metal layer includes a data pad extending from a data line and a gate pad extending from a gate line. The compensation pattern of the gate pad and the compensation pattern of the data pad are formed integrally and conducted. A silver dot(130) connecting an upper substrate(118) with a lower substrate(119) is formed in one side of the compensation pattern. The electric charges remaining in the lower substrate rapidly flows to the upper substrate. Then, the electric potential of the upper substrate becomes the same as that of the lower substrate.
