PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing both end portions of hood front end from lifting up during traveling of a vehicle, without having an influence on opening/closing operation force of a vehicular lock mechanism. SOLUTION: In this hood lifting-up preventive device for a vehicle 1, a hood opening/closing an upper opening 5 of an engine room 3 of the vehicle 1 is installed to a vehicular body so as to pivot about a vehicular rear end side, and a hook lock mechanism 9 locking a vehicular front end center to the vehicular body when the upper opening 5 of the engine room 3 is opened by the hood is provided. The hood lifting-up preventive device for the vehicle is provided with a latch means made from at least a pair of latch mechanisms 25 interposed between both side portions of a vehicular front end of the hood 7 and the vehicular body 1.
