IMAGING APPARATUS, CONSUMABLES FOR USE THEREIN, AND METHOD FOR JUDGING APPROPRIATENESS OF CONSUMABLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which a decision is made appropriately whether consumables being used in the imaging apparatus are appropriate or not.

SOLUTION: Consumables 7 for imaging are provided with a means 2 for storing the production time information of consumables and the imaging apparatus body 1 is provided with a means 3 for communicating with the consumables storing means 2, a recorder 5 for recording the actual time of the imaging apparatus, and a means 6 for judging whether the difference between the current actual time recorded by the actual time recorder 5 and the production time information of consumables read out through the communicating means 3 and stored in the consumables storing means 2 is equal to or longer than a predetermined period or not, and making a decision that the consumables are inappropriate if the difference is equal to or longer than the predetermined period otherwise the consumables are appropriate.
