<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy for a mold designer of a user to check and select a standard component of a specialized maker for mold components and to determine conformity of the standard component when designing a mold. <P>SOLUTION: Data of the standard components of a specialized maker supplying mold bases, mold accessories and the like are installed, as a geometric symbol comprising properties based on a processing standard (of a dimension, a material, a processing method and so on) by the specialized maker, in a supporting system 13 for designing a main mold. A designer of a mold maker conducts a designing of cavity and core (S2) based on product design data (S1), activates this system on each step of the designing, feed design data from a CAD interim file 12 and select a usable mold base on a display of this system (S4 to S5), select mold accessories and order boring works on a steel panel making the mold base (S6) in sequence. The specialized maker on the other hand, achieves early arrangement and early start of processing (S21 to S24) by means of estimating and order receiving arrangements, auto-drafting of process information and multi step ordering using this system 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
