PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for preventing tar from adhering to coke oven door and door frame are provided to remove tar adhered to the coke oven door and door frame along with the coating layer by coating a calcium oxide based aqueous inorganic solution on the coke oven door and door frame, thereby forming a coating layer thereon. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for preventing tar from adhering to coke oven door and door frame comprises a door sealing part coating solution supply unit comprising a coating solution storage tank(40) in which a calcium oxide based aqueous inorganic solution containing 10 to 20 wt.% of CaO is stored, and which is equipped with an agitator(41) for preventing sedimentation of the solution, and a solution spray nozzle(46) for spraying the coating solution onto a sealing part of the coke oven door and door frame so that the coating solution is coated thereon by receiving the coating solution from the coating solution storage tank(40) through supply pump(54) and pipe; and a cleaning unit comprising at least one or more devices selected from scraper, screw cutter and high pressure water nozzle for removing tar adhered onto a coating layer formed on the sealing part of the coke oven door and door frame by the coating solution supply unit.
