<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery equipped with a thermoprotector. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery comprises a battery part 31 formed by successively laminating a positive plate, a separator, and a negative plate, a case 32 in which, the battery part 31 is housed, a cap assembly 33 jointed to the upper part of the case 32, and a thermoprotector 40 arranged inside the case 32, making a current flow between an electrode lead drawn out from the battery part 31 and an electrode terminal 36 drawn out to the cap assembly 33, breaking the current when overcharged. The battery become safe and reliable without affected by a thermal runaway by virtue of the thermoprotector 40 which accurately detects the increase of temperature at inside caused by the overcharger of the battery, and breaks the current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
