The device includes two discrete one-way Shockley diodes (41,42) having break-over voltages ranging between 50 and 125V. The cathode and anode of one diode are connected to anode and cathode of another diode respectively. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) bidirectional protection device manufacturing method; and (2) electric circuit.
