<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out collation of a seal impression without delaying work while maintaining reliability of seal impression collation. <P>SOLUTION: A composition is adopted mechanically collating a seal impression image of a seal impression to be collated read by a scanner with a seal impression image of a registered seal impression to be used as a collation object of the seal impression to be collated. When a collation result of no conformance is obtained by the collation process, the seal impression of the seal impression to be collated and the seal impression of the registered seal are displayed in a display, and authenticity of the seal impression image of the seal impression to be collated is discriminated by following an interactive process. When a collation result of conformance is obtained by the collation process, work can be carried out as it is by treating the seal impression of the seal impression to be collated as normal, and reliability of seal impression collation can be guaranteed by requesting conclusive authenticity discrimination to another device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
