A diesel engine exhaust purifier ensuring optimum compatibility between diesel engine power performance and exhaust purification performance and easing torque shortage during steep slope climbing or the like. Light oil, water and emulsifying agent that are fed from a light oil tank 4, a water tank 5 and an emulsifying cartridge 6, respectively, have their water ratios adjusted by flow control valves 11-13 to provide an emulsion fuel, which is then fed into a combustion chamber 41. The water ratio, which is normally adjusted to be a basic water ratio according to the signal of accelerator opening degree 39 step 3, is such that when the difference between target acceleration corresponding to the acceleration pedal opening degree and the actual acceleration becomes a predetermined value or above step 7, the basic water ratio is corrected in a direction to reduce this water ratio step 8.
