WIG SHIP HAVING TRANSOM STERN TO IMPROVE COASTING EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: A WIG(Wing In Surface Effect) ship is provided to improve the leaving efficiency by reducing the wave resistance and leaving a ship at a low speed. CONSTITUTION: The rear part of a main body(2) is an inversed pentagon. The lower vertex is a transom stern(11) shape having an upper angle based on a sea line. The inner rear part of a main plane(1) is combined with the outer rear part of the transom stern to minimize the additional resistance by controlling a stern pathline(12) through an air flow(13) in the back of the main plane. An adjusting middle plate having many middle plate adjusting members is installed in the center lower part of the main plane while supporting an auxiliary sliding body. Thereby, the amount of air is uniformly adjusted against a disturbance of waves.
