[Class 44] [Also in Group VII] A device for supporting an electric torch comprises a main clip or attaching member for fitting on the user's wrist or arm and a secondary partcircular clip for gripping a cylindrical torch. The latter clip being swivelled to the main clip so that the torch can be angularly adjusted in a'plane at right-angles to that of the main clip. A spring clip 1, or an elastic band or a strap having a fastening device, fits round the wrist or arm and has connected to it by a pivot pin 4 a smaller spring clip 2 which grips the torch 3. The pin 4 may be a rivet or a screw bolt, or may be replaced by a ball-jointed pivot or like type of swivel connection. An intervening spring washer or the like holds the clips in their adjusted positions. In a modification the clips are connected by an arm or rod which spaces them apart and may be telescopic so that the spacing can be varied, the arm or rod being ball-ended or otherwise adapted for swivelling.</p> |
