<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonated hardened cement composition which is obtained without using a mold for press forming and exhibits high strength even when it is formed by casting, and a method for effectively utilizing a granulated blast furnace slag being an industrial waste material. <P>SOLUTION: The carbonated hardened cement composition comprises crystallized slag obtained by heat treating and crystallizing the granulated blast furnace slag and a hydraulic substance. The cement composition is formed by casting, and when the cement composition is cured by carbonation, a hardened body exhibiting excellent strength and free from the occurance of cracks is produced.
