PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide resin packing aluminum hydroxide which can impart excellent mechanical strength to a material such as artificial marble having improved bending strength without deteriorating its texture and color tones as a composite material as well as its incombustibility. SOLUTION: The resin packing aluminum hydroxide is obtained by subjecting aluminum hydroxide powder to surface treatment with two or more kinds of silane coupling agents (such as a compound represented by R<SP>1</SP>SiX<SP>1</SP><SB>3</SB>(1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a functional group having amino, vinyl, methacryloyloxy, acryloyloxy, epoxy or mercapto; and X<SP>1</SP>is an alkoxy or a halogen atom], and a compound represented by R<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>SiX<SP>2</SP><SB>2</SB>(2) [wherein, R<SP>2</SP>is a functional group having amino, vinyl, methacryloyloxy, acryloyloxy, epoxy or mercapto; R<SP>3</SP>is methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl or hexyl; and X<SP>2</SP>is an alkoxy or a halogen atom]).
