<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the quick charge of a battery, by the quantity of energy consumed in starting, in an idling state after the start of an engine, and to improve the quick activation performance of a catalyzer by the temperature rise of exhaust gas caused by applying the load of power generation to the engine. <P>SOLUTION: After starting the engine, the speed changing state of a motor- generator speed changer 3 is kept to be the same position as that in a starting time (a reduction position). After the engine has been on full throttle, generation control is started after an idling speed has become stable, so that a sudden load variation for the engine can be avoided by giving a time gradient to a generating command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
