PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder interpolation device capable of improving resolving power with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The encoder interpolation device comprises a calculating means (20) for conducting normalization calculation normalizing a signal having a smaller absolute value on the basis of a signal having a larger absolute value out of two periodic signals inputted from the encoder, an area discriminating means (40) for discriminating the area in which the phases of the two periodic signals inputted are included, based on the two periodic signals, when a predetermined phase angle of the encoder is divided into a plurality of predetermined areas, and a phase outputting means (50) for outputting the phase of the encoder, based on the calculation of the calculating means and the discrimination of the area discriminating means.
