PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member coated with a thermal-spray fluoride coating film, which is obtained by inhibiting a pyrolysis reaction and an oxidation reaction so as to tightly adhere the thermal-spray fluoride coating film having favorable characteristics in terms of product quality onto a surface of a substrate, and to provide a coating formation method thereof.SOLUTION: A method for forming a thermal-spray fluoride coating film comprises: pre-treating a substrate surface; thermally spraying a carbide cermet material on the pre-treated substrate surface, thereby forming scattered parts of thermally sprayed particles of the carbide cermet, wherein tips of the particles accounting for 8-50% of the area are sparsely deposited onto the substrate surface in a piercing manner; and subsequently spraying and depositing particles of a thermal-spray fluoride material onto the substrate surface and the scattered parts of thermally sprayed particles using a thermal spraying gun using an inert gas as a working gas for film formation at a temperature of 600-1,300°C and a particle velocity of 500 m/sec. or higher, thereby coating the substrate surface. |
