The assembly to heat the intake air, at an intake air heater (1) for an internal combustion motor, has an air intake channel (2) with an entry (3) and exit (4) opening. It has a heater (5) to heat the air intake, and a bypass channel (8) with its entry (6) after the inflow opening into the intake channel in the flow direction, and its outlet (7) in front of the intake channel exit. The bypass channel contains a fan impeller (9) to give an air flow parallel to the flow through the intake channel.
