<p>PURPOSE: Provided is a rotary reaction equipment for manufacturing optical fiber preforms which applies heat to liquid preform materials, keeps high pressure in a reaction vessel and rotates preform materials rapidly for uniform density. Therefore, the equipment improves productivity and quality of preforms. CONSTITUTION: The rotary reaction equipment comprises the parts of: a tilting table(2) which has a tilt with an effective angle by a tilting unit(10) above a box type base(1) for preventing liquid preform materials(polymer compounds) from flowing out; a jacket(50) above the tilting table for transmitting hot blast and ultraviolet rays to solidify the preform materials, wherein the semicircle-shaped jacket is separated into an upper and a lower jacket for opening and closing; a tube(100) positioned inside the jacket, in which the liquid preform materials are inserted through an inlet; a headstock(150) and a tail stock(200) placed in front and in the rear of the tube, for offering rotational force required in forming liquid preform materials into cores.</p> |
