SOLUTION: The retaining piece 7 interposed between balls 6 used as a plurality of rolling elements incorporated in a ball screw, a linear guide or the like is characterized by that a recessed face 8 facing the balls 6 is provided on a retaining piece body 7a and a plurality of through-holes 9 are provided in the recessed face 8.
