<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly monitor a weld condition by surely catching the pulse front of gradually increasing pulse signals, in machining a workpiece using a pulsed laser beam which is obtained by combining a continuously generating laser with pulse modulation by a shutter. SOLUTION: The intensity of a laser beam, after reaching a first prescribed value L1, reaches a second prescribed value L2 that is smaller than the first L1, and the intensity again turns to a third prescribed value (L1) that is larger than the second L2. This time is discriminated as a data fetch starting time.</p> |
