The reduction gear system has gearwheels (8,9) which engage with ring gears (15,16), the difference in number of teeth between the gearwheels and ring gears being 2-4. The gearwheels are attached to a hub (7) mounted on a low speed shaft (1) and the ring gears oscillate around them, due to eccentrics (23,24) mounted on a shaft (25). There are four eccentric shafts and the eccentrics turn in bearings attached to slides (21,22) which move in a plane parallel to that formed by the axes of rotation of two eccentric shafts.
