PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information agreeing with customer's preference, by estimating the customer's preference agreeing with the state change surrounding the customer. SOLUTION: This customer's preference estimation method is used in a system for providing various information to the customer following various information providing programs, and used for estimating the customer's preference to the information. In the method, history data of information provision including a selection method of the information providing program, the state surrounding the customer, and a reaction of the customer to the provided information are recorded, every time the information is provided to the customer. When a new information provision request is generated from the customer, the history data in the state similar to the state surrounding the customer at the moment are extracted, and the selection method of the information providing program used for the history data having the best reaction of the customer in the data are adopted, and the information providing program is selected from a program database by the adopted selection method, and the information is provided to the customer following the selected information providing program. |
