PURPOSE: A device for controlling illumination of a mobile communication terminal is provided to control a supplementary light source by a wireless or an infrared system, thereby implementing easy portability without an another connecting device between the supplementary light source and the mobile communication terminal and using an independent power without using power of the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal comprises as follows. An illumination switch(10) controls on/off operations and bright degrees of a supplementary light source. A microcomputer(20) analyzes a key signal operated through the illumination switch(10), and decides a control command. A wireless transmitter(30) wirelessly transmits the control command to the supplementary light source. The supplementary light source comprises as follows. A light source(40) emits light. A wireless receiver(50) receives the wirelessly transmitted control command. A light source controller(60) analyzes the control command, and controls on/off operations and brightness of the light source(40). A power supplier(70) supplies power to each unit.
