PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system capable of preventing the problem that distortion or deterioration in sounds outputted from speakers are generated, by automatically regulating the level of audio signals outputted from output terminals of an L channel and an R channel to a prescribed value. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a memory and a control means 25. The memory stores an analog signal of a prescribed level as a reference value. The means 25 allows an audio signal output means 24 to output a digital audio signal of an arbitrary value as a test signal at application of power, and then compares the level of analog signals appearing on the side of audio signal output terminals 19, 20 consisting of the L and R channels with the reference value stored in the memory, and transmits a control signal corresponding to the difference from the reference value to means 24 to change a digital output value thereof, thereby performing control to keep the analog audio signals outputted from the terminals 19, 20 of the L and R channels at a prescribed level.
