PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system for a vehicle capable of enhancing crime deterrence. SOLUTION: A base station 2 transmit an immobile indication signal to a telemation ECU 11 in the case when the vehicle 1 is stolen and the base station 2 receives information of the burglary through a cellular telephone 3 from an owner of the vehicle 1. However, the telemation ECU 11 does not transmit a response signal y1 even in the case when a cipher demand signal x1 is transmitted from a body ECU 12. At this time, as the body ECU 12 does not receive the response signal y1 with a specified period of time after transmitting the cipher demand signal x1, it judges that vehicle burglary happens and stops transmitting the response signal x2 to an engine ECU 15. Thereafter, the engine ECU 15 judges that the vehicle is stolen and stops actuating the engine as it does not receive the response signal y2 with a specified period of time after transmitting the cipher demand signal x2. |
