OPTICAL FIBER RIBBON AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING SINGLE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ribbon having a ribbon layer containing dispersion of a chloroform-soluble non-hardening polymer in a state of fine particles. SOLUTION: When the optical fiber ribbon is immersed in chloroform, since only the ribbon layer is selectively easily broken and peeled, only the required single fibers can be separated by removing the ribbon layer only without cutting the whole optical fiber tape when the optical fibers are to be connected.
