METHOD FOR PRODUCING L-AMINO ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing L-amino acid such as L-lysine or L-glutamic acid by fermentation method further improved than a conventional method and to provide a bacterial strain used for the method. SOLUTION: A gene encoding a fumarase is transferred to a coryne form bacterium having ability to produce an L-amino acid such as L-lysine or L- glutamic acid to enhance fumarase activity. Thereby, the L-amino acid-producing ability of the bacterium is improved.
