PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of opening/closing rectum by which a patient can be prevented from causing incontinence of feces by closing its rectum without pressing the texture around the rectum and a portion buried in the body of the patient is reduced in size and improved in operability. SOLUTION: In this method, a shape memory material which can be changed in shape by heating is used as a curing composition 1 for curing the dysfunction of the sphincter muscle of the patient. The rectum 5 of the patient is bent in a dogleg state by surrounding the rectum 5 with the composition 1 together with the sphincter muscle of the patient or the texture adjoining the muscle so as to close the rectum 5. In addition, the patient can make dejection by canceling the bent state of the rectum 5 by causing the shape memory material to return to its memorized linear shape. |
