PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suction-supplying molten metal in a die casting machine by which the supplying quantity of the molten metal is stably secured at high accuracy without being affected by delicate gas pressure control, concerning the difference of atmospheric pressure between the suction side and the upper surface of a molten metal holding furnace by adopting a vacuum-sucking method. SOLUTION: In this method for supplying a desired molten metal quantity into a injection sleeve through a molten metal supplying passage arranged so as to dip the lower end part thereof into the molten metal holding furnace disposed near the die casting machine and air-tightly communicating the upper end part of the passage with a molten metal supplying hole formed at the side surface of the injection sleeve, when the molten metal surface in the injection sleeve introduced through the molten metal supplying passage by suction-operating the air in the injection sleeve, reaches a position above the lower end of the molten metal supplying hole in the injection sleeve, the suction-operation is stopped. Further, this apparatus is adopted to one kind of volume weighing system in which the molten metal portion existing at the upper part from the lower end of the molten metal supplying hole in the injection sleeve, is returned back to the molten metal holding furnace through the molten metal supplying passage, and the molten metal supplying quantity can always be made constant.
