PURPOSE: A locking system for a seat rail of a vehicle is provided to reduce cost for development and design of the seat rail and to improve durability and quality by improving an operation with reducing a length of an operating lever and by being used to any type of vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A locking system(60) for a seat rail(50) of a vehicle comprises a lock guide(61), a lock(62), a lock spring and an unlock lever(66). The lock guide is fixed to a lower surface of an upper rail(53). The lock has a tooth geared to a lock groove(63) formed to a lower rail(52). The lower rail is included between the lock guide and the upper rail. The lock spring pushes the lock to be geared to the lock groove all the time. The unlock lever unlocks the lock. Thereby, an operation of the locking system is improved by reducing a length of an operating lever of a front portion of the seat rail. Cost is reduced and durability and quality are improved by having a general purpose for all type of vehicle.
