COLOR FILTER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which does not give rise to display defects in a liquid crystal layer and disconnections of ITO (indium tin oxide) even when a difference exists in the level of a cholesteric layer. SOLUTION: To a cholesteric color filter part formed with the cholesteric layers and having the difference in level caused by the differences in the layer thickness of the cholesteric layers constituting respective pixels, a transparent flattening layer disposed on the respective upper surfaces of the two layers out of three layers of the cholesteric color filter part ranging over respective pixels except for the layer with the largest thickness and laminated so as to make up for the difference in level is provided.
